Being a travel agent comes with many questions, and we love sharing more about the how and why of what we do. Below are a few of our most commonly asked questions about working with Charting Adventures.

How do Travel Agents get paid? Will I be charged additional fees?

Travel agents are paid by vendors (resorts, cruise lines, etc.). Charting Adventures does not charge any additional fees.

 

Why should I book with you instead of booking directly through the vendor or online?

  • Save money and time - Budget is essential with any trip, and we strive to get your dream vacation within the budget you've set without the hassle of you spending hours/days researching. 
  • We have connections - Because we often work with vendors, getting perks like room upgrades is more straightforward (but of course not always guaranteed).
  • Plans can change - We are here to help throughout your trip if something comes up and you need to change reservations, flights, etc. Allowing you time to enjoy the vacation without making multiple phone calls to numerous vendors. 

 

Before contacting you, what information should I have?

Ideally, it would be best to know what you would like to do (cruising, beach resort, theme park, etc.), the length of the trip, and a determined budget. This information will help us provide a realistic, fun, and memorable itinerary within a price range you are comfortable with.

Do you require I pay for my vacation up front?

No, deposit requirements are determined by the vendors and vary depending on the package selected and the time of the year you are traveling. Charting Adventures sends you a credit card authorization form to handle the deposits and remaining balances. At no time does Charting Adventures charge your credit card without the authorization form. This way, you are assured that your deposit and payments are applied directly to your vacation.
